Our Approach

What makes us visibly different

A cooperative relationship between our providers, our support staff and your administration, so operational challenges are met before they become problems.

Mission and vision

Personal attention. Premier care.

Our mission

Give every partner the personal attention and responsiveness they deserve. We grow deliberately so that each new facility gets the full weight of our resources, and a program designed for it rather than copied from somewhere else.

Our vision

Be the premier correctional healthcare partner in the country: patient-centered, quality-conscious and cost-effective, and out in front of the changes reshaping how care is delivered behind the walls.

Our values

The PREMIER values that guide every decision

P

Patient-Centered

Every decision starts with the patient in front of us and the facility we serve.

R

Respectful

Every patient is an individual with a history, a voice and choices about their own care.

E

Engaged

We show up with energy, follow through and bring a positive attitude to hard work.

M

Mentoring

We listen first, share what we know and help the people around us grow.

I

Integrity

We tell the truth, own our results and treat everyone fairly, especially when no one is watching.

E

Efficiency

We are good at what we do and careful with our partners' time, resources and budgets.

R

Resilience

When conditions change, we adapt fast and come back stronger.

01

Built to NCCHC and ACA standards

Our policies, clinical protocols and documentation are written to the National Commission on Correctional Health Care and American Correctional Association standards. Mock surveys and continuous quality review keep every site prepared for accreditation visits and state inspections.

02

CBHCare® program

A structured withdrawal management program using CIWA and COWS assessment scales, with protocols that start at intake and continue through stabilization.

03

Clear reporting

Standard reporting packages and ad-hoc data on request. Your administrators see the same dashboards our clinical leadership sees.

04

Investing in our people

Recruitment, retention and continuing education for the nurses and providers who show up every day. Stable, valued teams produce better outcomes.

05

Engaged in your community

CBH takes part in state sheriffs' and wardens' association conferences, regional jail association events and the county meetings our partners attend, because a healthcare partner should be present, not just under contract.

Standards

Built to the standards your facility is measured against

NCCHC

National Commission on Correctional Health Care standards for jails and prisons shape every clinical policy, from receiving screening to continuity of care.

ACA

American Correctional Association health care standards guide documentation, staffing and quality review, so accreditation surveys hold no surprises.

State and county requirements

Each program is mapped to its state Board or Department of Corrections requirements and the county's own contract terms.
